A bit about me: I’ve always loved drawing, painting and the creative process. With two young daughters, and a ton of nieces and nephews, it just seemed natural to create art and paper goods for the juvenile market…it’s also a lot fun !! After emigrating to Canada from England, I studied part time at the Toronto School of Art as well as The Ontario College of Art & Design.
A Bit about the Company: Burnish & Brush Art Studio was started in November 2007. My mixed media wall decor is created using oil pastels, coloured pencils and decorative handmade papers. In addition, I also have a line of wall art for girls called “Totally Me”, which are dresses and outfits created using beautiful papers from such places as India, Nepal and Japan. I love making cards, and you will find baby congrat cards, Thank you notes and blank note cards, made using these same papers and my original artwork.
Anything else you’d like us to know? I’m currently working on redesigning my own website, which I plan to relaunch in the Winter of 2010. In the meantime, please feel free to browse around my store on Artfire, and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for dropping by and a big thanks to Indie North.
